I'm on a Mac and I when I try to install Inkscape, I'm told it is from unidentified developer.

If you have this issue, locate the Inkscape item in your Applications folder, hold down the Control key, and left click on Inkscape. You'll get a similar window telling you it is from an unidentified developer, but this time you can click the Open button. Once you do that, Inkscape will install.
