I have problems making smooth curves. What do I do?

Curves may require practice to get smooth, so be patient with yourself. If you're having problems getting control, remember to keep your movements small. It also helps if you use a mouse rather than a trackpad. 

If you're still having issues, download the "cut-above-unit-3-curve-practice.zip" file attached to this page. Inside this archive are two files -- one for Inkscape users and one for Illustrator users. Open the one that corresponds to your illustration software and practice making the curve on the petal, beginning at the green dot. The yellow dots all indicate the places you should click and drag. The red dots indicate the places you should click only (no drag).
