Why does my text appear as outlines and not filled in when I set Design Space to Pen instead of Cut?

When designing with text that you want to write with in Design Space, you want to use a font that is a single line font. A single line font only uses one line to define its shape where our conventional fonts use two lines to define their shape...an inner line and an outer line. Design Space will only draw the outlines of the letters and will not fill them in. An example of a single line font in Design Space would be the Cricut Sans font set to writing. To find a font that will write as a single line do a Google search for Single line fonts (they can also be referred to as hairline or monoline fonts). That will provide you with more of a handwritten look rather than text with outlines.
